Many people have the habit of making commitments but fail to keep up. 

This sort of false assurances not only affects others, but lowers the self image of those making such promises. A person, pretending to be so sincere, assured his guest to get an admission in a reputed college. However, he did not make any efforts towards that end. His guest suffered and understood the real nature of the former.
